The work in Atmospheric Research is part of a broader research conducted as part of Agnieszka Trzyna’s doctoral thesis within the InterDok project carried out by Wroc\u0142aw University of Science and Technology and the University of Wroc\u0142aw. These studies were conducted in the vicinity of the Legnica Copper Smelter (the second article in Chemosphere has just been published \u2013 we invite you to read it). The obtained results pertain to the carbonaceous phases of PM2.5 dust particles in connection with the analysis of potential sources of pollution (low emissions and solid fuel combustion, long-distance transport of pollutants, and traffic-related pollution) and the meteorological conditions during the analyzed episodes of dust exceedances. A comprehensive view of the issue of atmospheric pollution, along with an interesting discussion regarding the advantages, disadvantages, and possible interpretational pitfalls of dust pollution data when approached in a cursory and “standard” manner, will be engaging literature not only for those strictly involved in air pollution but also for a wide range of natural scientists.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
