After completing your education, you will obtain the <strong>title of master of science in engineering<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During their studies, students acquire knowledge that enables them to predict, model, and monitor various geological and hydrogeological processes using state-of-the-art numerical technologies. They have the opportunity to gain specialized qualifications in certain geological fields: geochemistry and waste management, exploration geology, hydrogeology, ore geology, petrology, and applied mineralogy. They can choose from nearly fifty offered subjects and classes and have the option to conduct individual research under the guidance of a research supervisor. The second-cycle study program is largely focused on developing the skills necessary for future professional work. Graduates are expected to be specialists who, based on their acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills, are prepared for independent work in the field of applied geology and environmental protection. They should also be capable of leading teamwork that requires creative initiative. A major advantage is the fieldwork in attractive regions of the country and abroad, including places like the Czech Republic and Austria. Field activities will give you a different approach to learning and socialising. Students also participate in scientific camps and expeditions to various parts of the world (Spitzbergen, Greenland, Indonesia, Chile, Scandinavia, Cyprus, Albania, and others). The unique &#8220;field&#8221; atmosphere of geological studies is something truly worth experiencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During your studies, you will also have the opportunity to take part in internships offered by leading companies in the geological, mining, and exploration sectors, as well as by the government. While these internships aren&#8217;t mandatory, many of our students opt to take them.
