skills in the field of natural sciences, exact sciences, technical sciences, and broadly defined information technologies. After completing your education, you will obtain the <strong>bachelor degree<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Geology is much more than just knowledge about rocks, minerals, and fossils. On one hand, geology involves theories about the formation of mountains, continents, and oceans and reconstructing the history of our planet. On the other hand, it encompasses everything related to water and energy supply, environmental protection, and spatial planning. Modern geology also includes computers, advanced search techniques, and state-of-the-art laboratories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The general concept of 1st cycle geological program conducted at the University of Wroc\u0142aw is to obtain learning outcomes in the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-columns stk-block-columns stk-block stk-ce6a4be\" data-block-id=\"ce6a4be\"><div class=\"stk-row stk-inner-blocks stk-block-content stk-content-align stk-ce6a4be-column\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-stackable-column stk-block-column stk-column stk-block stk-ba775bb\" data-v=\"4\" data-block-id=\"ba775bb\"><style>@media screen and (min-width:768px){.stk-ba775bb{flex:1 1 calc(60% - var(--stk-column-gap,0px) * 1 \/ 2 ) !important}}<\/style><div class=\"stk-column-wrapper stk-block-column__content stk-container stk-ba775bb-container stk--no-background stk--no-padding\"><div class=\"stk-block-content stk-inner-blocks stk-ba775bb-inner-blocks\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>science fundamental to geology;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>basic geological content;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>qualifications necessary for professional employment as a geologist;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>knowledge of the basics for conducting scientific research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>1st cycle program include teaching in the field of basic sciences for geology and program-specific content. The program provides a consistent, hierarchical educational path (sequence of subjects) necessary for the proper realization of the expected learning outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In geological studies, you can choose a specialization only at the second degree level. However, this does not mean the absence of opportunities for individual scientific development right now. A graduate of first-degree geology studies should possess sufficient qualifications to take up professional employment as a geologist. The first cycle program also aims to shape the skills necessary for future professional work. Graduates should be specialists who, based on acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills, are prepared for independent work in basic and applied geology, as well as environmental protection. They should also be able to lead team tasks requiring creative initiative. The presented education concept is closely linked with socio-economic needs and labor market expectations, which are defined and verified mainly through the voices of internal and external stakeholders.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ugb-column ugb-column ugb-0699a89 ugb-column--design-plain ugb-main-block\"><div class=\"ugb-inner-block\"><div class=\"ugb-block-content\"><div class=\"ugb-column__item ugb-0699a89-column-wrapper\"><div class=\"ugb-column__content-wrapper\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading bs-naglowek-z-kolorem\"><strong>Practical classes and fieldwork<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Studies in this field of study incorporate a high proportion of practical classes (laboratory classes, project classes, fieldwork) into the program. A major advantage is the fieldwork in attractive regions of the country and abroad, including places like the Czech Republic and Austria. Field activities will give you a different approach to learning and socializing. Students also participate in scientific camps and expeditions to various parts of the world (Spitzbergen, Greenland, Indonesia, Chile, Scandinavia, Cyprus, Albania, and others). The unique &#8220;field&#8221; atmosphere of geological studies is something truly worth experiencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During your studies, you will also have the opportunity to take part in internships offered by leading companies in the geological, mining, and exploration sectors, as well as by the government. While these internships aren&#8217;t mandatory, many of our students opt to take them. Graduates can also work in geological services, state administration, and many research institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; further learning opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Graduates of the 1st cycle program can take up geological studies of the 2nd cycle program at the University of Wroc\u0142aw or at other universities with geological majors.
