
Laboratory of Computer Methods in Geology
The Laboratory of Computer Methods in Geology includes four laboratories at the Institute of Geological Sciences, each equipped with 12 computer units.

Students of the Institute of Geological Sciences have the opportunity to use the computer labs and available software also outside the teaching term. To obtain permission to access the labs, please contact Dr. Wojciech Drzewicki – Head of the Laboratory of Computer Methods in Geology. During individual use of computers in the labs, students assume responsibility for the condition of equipment left in the rooms.
Licensed software
Students have the opportunity to use university licenses for software used during their studies. The programs that can be obtained for private computers include: ArcGIS, Surfer, Grapher, Microstation, Statistica. To obtain installation files and license keys, the student’s representative of a given year, after gathering a group of willing students, should make such a request to to Mr. Kacper Lis (kacper.lis/at/uwr.edu.pl) in the Library ING.
Students also have the opportunity to use Corel Draw software in computer room 401 and Petrel in computer room VII. Interested students should make an appointment with the appropriate room supervisor in advance.
STATISTICA
To obtain access to the Statistica software, please contact Mr. Kacper Lis at the ING Library (kacper.lis/at/uwr.edu.pl) . Before starting the program, it is required to REGISTER a USER available at the link below.
