CEEPUS
CEEPUS is a Central European (government) academic exchange program. Signatories to the program are: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo – University of Pristina.
CEEPUS scholarships are awarded to students for study/internships and work placements in the aforementioned countries, and to university teachers for activities that strengthen the Central European character of university curricula.
CEEPUS scholarships are comprehensive, i.e. they cover the cost of living, accommodation, medical and accident insurance for the duration of the scholarship holder’s stay in the host country. The amount of the scholarships is proportional to the cost of living in a given country. Travel costs may be financed by the scholarship recipient’s sending country (through the home university).
CEEPUS scholarships may be applied for by first-, second- and third-cycle students for studies/internships, as well as by academic teachers, primarily within the existing CEEPUS exchange networks. Scholarships can also be awarded outside of the CEEPUS networks, as part of the so-called FREEMOVERS, provided that the candidate obtains consent for such studies from the accepting university.
