Zaproszenie na warsztaty z modelowania numerycznego
Instytut Nauk Geologicznych Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego we współpracy z Polskim Towarzystwem Mineralogicznym serdecznie zaprasza do udziału w warsztatach z modelowania numerycznego, które odbędą się w dniach 6–9 października 2025 r. w siedzibie Instytutu przy Placu Maxa Borna 9 we Wrocławiu.
Warsztaty poprowadzi Prof. Evangelos Moulas z Uniwersytetu w Moguncji. Zajęcia będą prowadzone w języku angielskim i obejmą praktyczne ćwiczenia z zakresu modelowania dyfuzji pierwiastków głównych i radiogenicznych w minerałach z wykorzystaniem środowiska MATLAB/OCTAVE. Nie jest wymagana wcześniejsza znajomość programowania.
Liczba miejsc jest ograniczona – o udziale decyduje kolejność zgłoszeń. Opłata rejestracyjna wynosi 100 zł i obejmuje materiały szkoleniowe oraz poczęstunek w trakcie przerw kawowych. Call for Participation in the Numerical Modelling Workshop
We kindly invite you to participate in the upcoming Numerical Modelling Workshop organized by the Institute of Geological Sciences at the University of Wrocław, in cooperation with the Polish Mineralogical Society.
The workshop will take place from October 6th to 9th, 2025 at the Institute of Geological Sciences, University of Wrocław, located at Plac Maxa Borna 9.
In this workshop, participants will learn to use existing models for diffusion in minerals through practical exercises focused on modeling the distribution of major and radiogenic elements. The workshop will be led by Prof. Evangelos Moulas from the University of Mainz. It will be conducted in English and will utilize MATLAB/OCTAVE as the programming environment. No prior programming experience is required.
Please note that the number of available places is limited, and participation will be confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The participation fee is 100 PLN, covering training materials and refreshments. Registration is available through the webstie at Numerical Modelling Workshop. Please submit your registration by September 5, 2025.
